Moisson d’Alma
Programming language
C#, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, SQL
The project
This web application was the final project in the Multihexa school program. It was a project in teams of 2. We had to find a customer and create an application for them. Our client is Moisson Alma. It’s an organization that provides food aid to people on low incomes. As this customer didn’t have a website, we created a web application for visitors, as well as a management application for customer administration. The project uses the ASP.NET MVC framework and I used the following languages: C#, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax and SQL. For the database, we used Microsoft SQL server and for database management, we used MySQL Workbench.
The challenge : Meeting with client
The problem:
It was the first time we did a project with a real client and communicating with this client wasn’t always easy. They were often busy and we weren’t able to contact them a lot. We had to make sure that we were on the same page when we were working on the project.
The solution:
At our second meeting, we made a list of questions and took the opportunity to take as much notes as possible. We also show what we did. After, if we had a question, we write it down and we did as much as possible to progress for the next meeting to showcase what we did and notes what we should change. We also decided to use email to send photos and messages to show what we did and we reserves meeting on Microsoft Teams only when we had a lot to say and to show.
What we have learned:
It’s best to find solutions with the client about how to communicate with the client easily so the work can progress as smooth as possible without too much time lost.
